Hyperforce in Summer '26: New Regions, Faster Recovery, and Data Residency

Salesforce Hyperforce updates in Summer '26 — availability in 18 countries including a new Cape Town region, Advanced Cross-Region Continuity with 12-hour RTO and 4-hour RPO, and new Government Cloud Defense products.

Hyperforce is the public-cloud infrastructure Salesforce runs on, and for enterprise architects and compliance teams it's all about three things: where your data lives, how fast you recover, and which regulated environments you can use. Summer '26 moves the needle on all three.

Available in 18 countries — now including Cape Town

Hyperforce is now available in 18 countries, giving you more choice and control over data residency. The Salesforce Customer 360 application suite — Sales, Service, B2B Commerce, Platform, and Industries clouds — is automatically available via Hyperforce in:

Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The newest addition is a Hyperforce region in Cape Town, South Africa (opened July 2026). For organizations with data-sovereignty requirements, every new region removes a barrier to adoption.

Faster disaster recovery with Advanced Cross-Region Continuity

Salesforce Advanced Cross-Region Continuity (ACRC) is a premium product that protects commercial Hyperforce customers during an extraordinary regional disaster. In Summer '26 it delivers improved recovery objectives: a 12-hour Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and a 4-hour Recovery Point Objective (RPO) — reducing both maximum downtime and potential data loss after a regional catastrophe.

ACRC is now available in the European Union, and across India, Israel, Japan, and the United States. If your business continuity plan hinges on tight RTO/RPO targets, this is the headline.

New products for Government Cloud Defense

Several products are newly available for Government Cloud Defense organizations, expanding the capabilities you can run in that high-assurance environment. If you operate in defense or high-security public sector contexts, check the updated product list for what's now supported.

Commerce on Hyperforce in the US

Salesforce B2C Commerce is now available on Hyperforce in the US — bringing the storefront platform onto the same modern infrastructure as the rest of Customer 360.

Why this matters

Hyperforce updates rarely make flashy headlines, but they're decisive for regulated and global enterprises. More regions mean more places you can legally and comfortably store data; tighter RTO/RPO means less risk in a disaster; and expanded Government Cloud Defense coverage opens Salesforce to more sensitive workloads. These are the foundations that make everything else in the release usable for large, compliance-bound organizations.
